Hair-status: Women and their hair

Long time no see?

in this post I'll address the need a large number of people seem to have nowadays, and its not restrained within a nations border. The need to "out" people, and more specifically when it comes to hair in all it's forms.
I actually wrote a blog post about this earlier but as I was kind of annoyed at the moment,it wasn't wise to post it back then. Still annoyed though, because there is a great double-standard going on when it comes the use of "fake" hair, synthetic or not.

Amsterdam part.3 - The International Gyaru meet 2013

The day of the meet was a bit stressful, I don't remember exactly what we did the day before but I remember going to bed quite late and getting up feeling stressed and short of time... I was going to curl my hair but I didn't have time for that and I really regret it seeing the pictures from others who has blogged about it :/ but oh well,no point crying over spilled milk ^^

Either way,we got there a bit late, but everyone was waiting (not just for us but for everyone else as well) so there wasn't any trouble finding the place at least. Jeez,I was so nervous and shy. It felt like everyone knew each other and I was an outsider... well, lol I was but you get what I'm saying. So I really tensed up because of it :/

This is the park where we had the picnic

Such a beautiful park, I really loved being here ^^

Amsterdam Part.2

I'm a bit too lazy to upload all the pictures to facebook, also I dont really like the fact that nothing ever really disappears from their servers after uploading it there so I'd rather post them on my blog.
The Gyaru-meet will be up today(sunday) or early monday ^^

Shopping with Naoki ^^
We went to Primark, and wow I love that store now :O even though I didnt buy a lot of stuff there :P

Amsterdam Part. I

I went to Amsterdam in late June to visit my best friend and to go to my first Gal meet(which was really fun btw :D) but I'll get to that later^^

The country side of Norway, about 10min outside of Oslo.

First we took the direct train to Gardermoen Airport and I decided to take some snap shots

I don't know why,but getting seats near the wings always calms me.
Yes I have flight anxiety, must be the fact that if that metal canister DOES decide to drop out of the sky I'll be one of the first to panic and jump out before we even land in the water.
"that doesn't make any sense... :S"
Nope, but then again do crazy people make sense?

How's life treatin ya?

So small life update, because I am alive and I've been doing stuff. Irrelevant stuff but stuff nonetheless.

Earlier in June, I was out with mah gurl Xiaoting, I don't have many pictures of the event since we took pictures with her camera and she'd kill me if I'd upload the one picture she took with my new phone so yeah.

I snagged this picture from her post but we both look good here so I see no reason why she would murder me for it.

She looks so cute! I just wanna pinch her cheeks and go "aww<3" sometimes!
I really want those lenses though :O

Princess Pinky Twilight Blue Review

Princess Pinky Twilight Blue
In this post I'll review the PP Twilight Blue circle lenses^^

Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Type: 1 year disposal

I bought them from Pinkyparadise for 28,90US$ so they're pretty expensive and they were a hassle to deal with too, since I kept receiving defect lenses in one way or the other.

The first pair I bought, the one for my right eye were defective. I left both of them in the solution for 24hrs,rinsed them and tried them on for the first time. The left eye was ok,it moved around a lot so I tried putting them on the other way and then they stopped moving around so much. The right eye however stung like a razor blade on the eyeball I immediatly took it out,my eye had gotten really irritated by it too, after wearing it less than 20 sec. I thought it was weird, since that had never happened before so I left it in a new solution for a couple of more hours before trying again.
Nope! Still stung like a mofo. So I tried inspecting it for scratches or bulks in the container and such, everything was in order so it was clearly a production defect or sorts. I contacted Pinkyparadise and they sent me a new one after I had taken a couple of pictures for them to verify that they were faulty. The next one was perfect, except one thing. It had a cluster,a small lump on the inside of the lens that felt like it was scratching my eye,it was even visible when held infront of the light. So again I had to ask for a new one from Pinkyparadise. They gladly sent a new one again and the 3's the charm right?
It fit perfectly,no discomfort out of the usual dry eye after a couple of hours.

                                                                   My two cents:

They don't look natural at all,but thats not why I bought them so I'm happy for that. They do have a natural pattern but the color is so strong and resemble's husky with blue eyes they're not fitting for a day at the office, unless you work for Marilyn Manson^^

The first hour, they moved around a lot and felt kinda dry and I could feel I had something foreign on my eyes,I didn't like that. But after that hour or so they stopped feeling foreign and started feeling comfortable like my other lenses.

They do move around a lot,and they're really fragile to the feel I think. Not like Vassen or Geo,so be aware of that when washing them. If they don't stop moving around, try putting them on inside out because they're really hard to determine whats the inside and outside when you have them in your hand.

Bad laptop lighting

The color is strong,it doesnt look toned down in the dark or more vibrant in the sun. they stay the same no matter the lighting, which I think is a plus. However, the bottle says they're 14,5mm but the colored iris diameter is 14mm. I was a bit disappointed in that. Makeup wise, they fit with toned down gyaru looks or people who have no gap between their iris and their lower lash line.

Comfort: 7/10
Color: 10/10
Enlargement: 5/10
(they make your eyes slightly larger)

Guess that's it for now, I've gotten so many requests to do a tutorial so I'm going to try and do that, however I dont know when it will be up.
I'm going to Amsterdam on tuesday, to visit one of my best friends and getting to know more gals on a meet in Utrecht ^^
Stay tuned though,I've been feeling inspirational lately and I have a lot of helpful posts coming up for all you newbie gals <3

UPDATE!!!!!! For all of you lovely and dear readers, please foloww my blog with bloglovin since the google friendconnect will disappear tomorrow,it would mean a lot to me ^^

Because Sharing is Caring

So I was sitting up late, thinking about what to write to my dear readers when it hit me "how about uploading the Ageha Eye Make Perfect book mook?"
You know,since "sharing is caring" ^ - ~
I did consider using it as a leverage for you to become my followers

                                                          "join us"* creepy voice*
But I figured "whats the point in having 400+ followers if they don't really genuinly find what I write about interesting,or funny in any way?" I'd rather have 20 who care than 400 who don't ya know?
you're welcome btw ^^
So I've been sitting here watching it upload for the last 5hrs... :S

I think all the files are scrambled in the folder but if you download the whole folder or all the files and click sort in some way they should appear in the correct order.

all the pictures has been taken with my Sony Xperia Z with 13 megapixels. I don't have a scanner but I thought "something is better than nothing right?"  + I made this for you! I think they're really good considering the device they've been captured with.

The uploaded ones are much bigger

Secondly: You will see duplicates of the pictures since some were taken from a bad angle and caught too much exposure from the light.

Third: I did not translate at all, (115 pages with kanji's is asking a lot of my tiny little brain) but the quality of the pictures are so sharp its possible to read the kanji's without difficulties, except if you don't understand kanji...then.. sux to be you? I'm sure there's an app for that somewhere on the web ^^

And if you don't trust my word here's some samples for ya:

You will see a lot of my nails in the pictures, sowwy

Beware its about 490MB in total

You can download the files here <3

My reviews are still coming but I haven't worn the Princess Pinky Twilight blue that much and I want to write a honest and sincere review,so keep checking the blog from time to time ^^

Back to basics

There's been a lot of drama going on in the gyaru community and in light of the recent events, I've started contemplating my actions, my goals and my expectations. I've been contemplating this for a long time now, at least 2 months, it doesn't sound like a long time but it is considering I NEVER ONCE thought about how my style (or lack thereof) or my makeup should be, in the eyes of other fellow gals.

I feel I've let my own integrity and self-respect suffer, on behalf of what others have expected from me. I can't do that anymore. I started out doing this FOR me, not in despite of me.

When I started looking for a community to flourish and cherish, my expectations were that the people in them were supporting, happily ready to share their interest and expertise. I thought they were genuine and a lot like me, a social outcast with a kind heart, wishing to find friends to “dress up” and have fun with. Though many are, there’s unfortunately more bad seeds than good, and too many bad seeds ruin a crop.

There is too many curtains being lifted, shedding light on the ugliness behind.
Too many who get their dreams and aspirations crushed beneath a selective few dominant ego’s.
And too many who search for happiness and acceptance only to find rejection and depression.

I see everything.

I was aware of the fact that a superficial lifestyle/fashion style would involve superficial and conceited people, but not such a high amount of them.

The words “you’re pretty” or generally words praising my looks are words I seldom heard outside of gal make. Though friends and my boyfriend tell me I am, I refuse to accept those words. Maybe because I am afraid hearing it too often will eventually make me conceited. There’s nothing wrong with my self-confidence, I’ve been raised to be judged by actions and character and not rely on my looks as that will perish with time.

When I was introduced to the groups I was eager to learn from everyone else in my groups, posting pictures to get feedback. Though I did get(and much appreciated) feedback I felt I started to change. I wanted acceptance.

“please, senpai notice me”- syndrome

That has never been in my nature.
It goes against everything I am, and still hope I can find my way back to.
I need to go about this my own way now. I need to do what I feel is right.
It’s time for me to go back to basics.

I will continue the blog ofc, not everything will be of taste for everyone but a quick push of [X] will lead you away from it and you are welcome to do so.
For the future I will be reviewing Vassen Latte Pink, Vassen/I.fairy Kirei Green and Princess Pinky Twilight Blue.

~ Stay tuned ~

Angry Rant: Why the hate?

Today when I was scrolling through my news feed there were a lot of discussion about racism in the gal community. I wondered what sparked that discussion to begin but didn't think much more about it,until someone rose the question "why is there so much hate on the black gals recently? I saw this post on G_S and...."

I normally shun that site,I've seen too many people being posted there and decided to avoid it,for my own good. But I made an exception, and looked through the recent post and I'm still shocked.

First of all:

I'm impressed at how dedicated this uploader has been in holding onto their grudge for the amount time spent on making something so poisonous, just because the fact that they're not colorblind and has become aware that there are more than one shade in skin colors. bravo. bravo.
You have been sitting there in your room,in front of your pc,intensively hating on black gals and have been focused on feeling that hate from beginning to submission of the picture. Did you really care THAT much?

What was the mod thinking? Whats the point with the mod if racism AGAIN will be spread out like a general opinion everyone should follow? And as many as 3 racist posts too?... That too says quite a lot. Consequential thinking would've lead to the thought

"hm,maybe I shouldn't post this? people are gonna complain either way if something doesn't get posted and "what you don't know wont hurt you"

in this case".

And third:

Reading the comments and seeing people again separate black people, but this time making sub groups by shade of skin tone?" XXX is prettier that YYY because XXX is of a lighter color than YYY"?
How sick are you to come up with such a conclusion?
Many of the comments though, they just make me want to hurl. I had NO idea there were such racism going on in the gal com and whoever agrees with black= eww should be scolded with acid. kidding.not really

Why oh why does it have to be such hate on black people?
They straighten their hair = self hate and denies their origin
They keep it natural = looks dirty and messy and we don't want to associate with such people
They get weaves/wigs/extensions = they're being fake and "yeah its pretty but its not hers so it doesn't count" say the women who wears extensions themselves.

For the closet racists out there: stop, you are in no way nor will you ever be,more worth as a human being. You gave up that possibility when you thought yourself special and on a pedestal. Reflect on your opinions,if they haven't changed I hope you eat cyanide and die or at least get sterilized so you wont make racist offspring for the future.

Freedom of speech and Self Righteousness

Thought it had been some time since I last posted something of a little more  "substance"  than megabytes in makeup pictures and latest shopping hauls, and since these are thoughts I've been pondering about for some time now I thought I'd share. Hopefully you who are reading this wont take this offensively or disagree, but in the event of butthurtness you should smear yourself up with moisturizer and acknowledge the fact that this is my blog and rather appreciate that I'm not slandering anyone even if I'm entirely capable of doing so simply because, I am not that kind of a person.

So my thoughts are:

Freedom of speech is necessary, we need to be able to share our opinions when it matters most, when injustice is prevalent but unnoticed by the majority.

We need it for a democratic society to function.  Heck we need it as an important foundation of order.

However there are those and surprisingly many who feel that their every opinion needs to be heard and ventilated for as many people possible, just because they can.

And before you realize the irony of me posting my opinions of others bullshit opinions, here ya go:

And before you think and want to reply:

PinkyParadise Package

So I got my package from PinkyParadise earlier than expected,it took 2 days for it to arrive :S

Jumily nr.5

These ones looks like Dolly Winks Real Nude, but a lot cheaper! :D

Jumily nr.6

Not happy about these ones >:C
I wanted to replace my Dolly Wink Pure little's with something that was less expensive so I decided to buy these from Jumily, since they were about half the price of Dolly Wink. However,I was disappointed when I saw how cheap looking they were in the package. They look fine in the picture but they're actually quite choppy and uneven in RL

I got these for free,a little surprise package from PP :D! It's probably because they didn't have my prescription for the Vassen Kirei Green lenses, after I had payed and ordered it. And then they didn't have my replacement lenses either, lol. But I must say, they have an awesome customer service and they're always eager to please. They're not sponsoring me to say this either. I ordered a pair of lenses once, which I knew were known to have defects but they were so striking I couldn't resist. I had to ask for replacements 2 times since they all had some kind of defect. The first one stung, the second had a lump inside, but the third one were perfect. They didn't try to convince me to take a refund or change them for some other ones, they just happily obliged, and sent new ones.

But I do buy a lot from them,2 or 3 times a year I'll spend enough for them to send things to me for free priority shipping,so nuff said.

I'm looking forward to trying these ^ ^

Eyebrow mascara

Lens case

Contents of the lens case,a bottle for lens water,a lens case and a pair of tweezers for picking up the lenses.

Rohto Lychee eye drops

At first I thought I'd gotten a bad replica since it felt like someone had put menthol mouth freshner in my eyes, but it's supposed to feel like that.
Well I did refresh my eyes so it wasn't a lie

And I bought some new lenses

To be perfectly honest, they look exactly the same as the Geo Princess Mimi Chocolate brown/ Vassen Princess Bambi Queen Brown, the only difference is the pupil hole is bigger on the starmish ones, making the look less intense than the aforementioned ones. To put it short,it gives a better dolly look than Bambi and Mimi. And for any twilight cosplayers who's cosplaying Edward,Bambi and Mimi are the lenses for you.

The other pair I bought is Geo Princess Mimi Almond brown,I always have at least one pair of these as they're my favourite everyday lenses. If anyone is buying their first pair of lenses and you have brown eyes,I recommend these. They blend in so well with brown!

Geo Princess Mimi Almond Brown

That's it for me,hope you enjoyed it ^ ^

" It's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all" *PicHeavy*

Hey peeps... Sorry for not posting anything lately, I’ve been busy catching up on my reading and since my exam period is coming up I kinda had to prioritize that for the time being. But I hadn’t forgotten about my blog ^^ Actually, that’s a semi lie.
I do have my exams coming up,and I have been reading, but mostly because I’ve been living in the 80’s… You see,my Internet is gone. We got a mail from our Internet provider, about them doing maintenance of some sort and that it would be down from 10th of April, from 1am/0100 - 5am/0500.
I had no problem with that, I could for once go to bed early I thought… I didn’t ofc. But I didn’t use Internet in that time frame. I don’t remember what I did though ,but I remember waking up the day after and did my regular routine: I got up and poured myself a bowl of cereals and sat down in front of my laptop only to find that my Internet had not returned… after several diagnostics and yadayada I came to the conclusion that my Internet had left me indefinitely…
It kinda felt like a bad breakup, it was just over between me and Internet. No last words, no words to carry on into the future… no nothing. I was fine with it the first 8hrs…Then not so much.
It started to sink in “omg…what if it doesn’t come back today?? I don’t have any movies left to watch…” and I hate watching movies twice in a short time period. So I started  to get frustrated….REALLY frustrated.
So I went out shopping instead…hehe, I’ll show you the things I got in a second.
Anyway,I don’t know how I’ve coped without Internet, it’s like my guilty pleasure…and we live in a day and age where it’s constantly around us too,we’re dependent on it. I don’t have regular TV,I have streaming services… all my favorite electrical devices have Internet and are hooked together. Sigh…maybe I’m a bit spoiled but I love streaming series from my 17”laptop to my  white 50” LED Samsung TV…Ok I’m spoiled when it comes to that subject and I’ve taken my Internet for granted… that’s why he left me  TT^TT.
The bad breakup that it was,I’ve now come to terms with the situation and I’ve accepted it and moved on…kinda.
I’m lying again.
I’m using my NokiaN8 as a modem using my included 1GB of data for my addiction.
Later today a technician is coming over to check if there’s a problem with the socket, or if we’ve connected something wrong, basically just our provider looking for a loophole to ditch the bill on us.
I mean, it’s been working for 6 months now, without us kidding around with it, then when a maintenance update is being performed and done it suddenly doesn’t work anymore. Yup must be US who done did sumthin stupid. I think our modem from our providers, has fried itself, it gets hot when it’s on, REALLY hot. But I cant turn it of while I’m using it right? And a tool that breaks itself while doing it’s designated job is shit if you ask me.
But without any more rant from me, here’s the things I got on my last shopping trip^^ and a top I modified.

All the items are from H&M unless otherwise stated ^ ^

Had to have a mini mint too, to match my tote ^ ^

This dress gained my attention at a norwegian shopping outlet
and I immediately had to buy it. There's a Gyaru feeling to it :P
Dead cheap too #winning

Coral or pastel orange colored skirt

This top is from H&M but I hated the black strap fabric that came with it so
I cut them off and sew some nicer ones on instead

Navy blue skirt, because the Navy style never goes out of fashion in my opinion

Mint pastel dress

Only the skirt is from H&M's conscious collection, the top is from Vero Moda

This skirt I got from my bff Kaoru, when she was in Tokyo 2 months ago ^ v ^

I added some studs on the straps and at the edge of bra part.

Here's how it looked like before, still cool looking like this though

I'm also expecting a big package from PinkyParadise soon with some new lenses and lashes so check back in a week - 10 days from this post,if you're curious-^^
